You Cannot be Serious!
This summer is topped to be one of the best in the UK country for sport so it’s only right that there should be a new show to delve into the funniest, quirkiest and silliest moments … You Cannot be Serious!
The comedy show, hosted by Alistair McGowan reviews clips from the last seven days of televised sport and promises to deliver what Saturday night TV should be about – fun! The show is also packed full of sketches and impressions.
Martin Kempton designs the lighting show, which is aired on Saturday nights at 7.30pm on ITV and is supported by Richard Martin Lighting (RML).
His chosen lighting specification includes Stage Zoom 1200, Mac TW1, Mac 600, VL2000 Wash, VL1000TS, Chroma Banks and Chroma Floods. Martin also used LED 12 Lights which were hung around the set and helped create an American sports stadium feel.
The football has just finished, Wimbledon is in full swing and the Olympics are just around the corner so Alistair and his creative team, including Harry Hill, will have no problem coming up with continuous content.
Most weeks end with a song and dance number, some of which have been quite elaborate in their staging. Martin recently said: “the range of moving lights in the rig have made it relatively easy to create appropriate moods and colour changes, often with very little time to rehearse.”
