Sennheiser’s 500 Series High-end Headphones Now Available in the UK
Sennheiser has announced that its new 500 series of high-end headphones is now available in stores across the UK. The HD 598, HD 558 and HD 518 are being stocked in Dixon’s Retail, John Lewis (online) and all good independent Hi-Fi stores - the ideal Christmas gift for highly discerning music lovers.
The three open, dynamic high-end headphones are equipped with Sennheiser's specially developed E.A.R. (Eargonomic Acoustic Refinement) technology to ensure a top-quality sound experience. Acoustic baffles inclined at a slight angle guide the audio signal directly to the ears. As a result, the excellent sound is optimally channelled.
The top of the range HD 598 combines style and sound quality at the highest level. With an impressively unique design that incorporates cream-coloured surfaces, dark wood grain effect and glossy metallic trim, suggesting luxury and elegance.
Powerful neodymium magnets and proven Duofol diaphragms guarantee natural, lifelike reproduction of even the finest musical details, while low-vibration plastic materials prevent distortions to the sound image. The HD 558 and HD 598 also feature a sound reflector that optimises the spatial sound effect.
A gold-plated 6.3 mm audio jack plug provides an optimum connection to the audio source. A new feature is the detachable cable: the bayonet plug is unlocked with a simple twist, allowing it to be easily removed.
