PSCo Creates Hairdressing in HD Experience at Salon International
Attendees at Salon International's Salon Live presentations this week were treated to a full HD view of the cutting techniques on a pair of 103" Plasmas.
Capitol House Productions managed the production for the seminar area, which featured the latest fashion in hairdressing, cutting and colouring techniques, including a simultaneous seven hairstyle tutorial from the renowned Toni&Guy artistic team.
The audience of over 1,000 people watched the action on two 103" Panasonic Plasmas, sourced on screenlifters from PSCo and built into a set, flanking the hairdressers on stage. Once the hairdressers in each seminar had finished their cuts, a fashion show of the model's haircuts would complete the effect and give the styles instant wearability.
Amanda Murray of Capitol House Productions headed up the team and explained: "The seminar attendees need a very sharp image reproduction for the video content on stage. We chose these screens because they can produce a perfect image on a very large scale, enabling the audience to see even the tiniest detail of the cut. We integrated them with five front projection screens around the truss for the audience towards the back of the room."
Mike Nield, rental director at PSCo said: "Building the 103" Plasmas into a set is a great use of the HD picture quality and the sheer size of the screens. Using the screenlifter means our technicians can wheel these huge plasmas into position, hydraulically lift each to the height required to position them into the set perfectly."
